Space Country Cowboy Style — that’s how DanaMaria describes her signature sound. With her second studio album, STARSTRUCK, the singer-songwriter dives deep into her musical passion, reflecting on the often contradictory path between creative highs and personal doubt.

She captivates with a striking blend: catchy pop melodies meet powerful acoustic guitar strumming, and her clear voice carries that unmistakable twang. On STARSTRUCK, shimmering synthesizers and a sparkling banjo join the mix, giving the album a fresh, genre-blending Western vibe.

Supported by Initiative Musik, the album wasn’t recorded in a traditional studio, but in secluded, private spaces. This unique production approach gives the songs an intimate, authentic feel — a musical road movie full of soul and wide open skies.

At just eight years old, DanaMaria wrote her first song — laying the foundation for an impressive musical journey.

Since 2008, she has been performing as a singer-songwriter, starting out in small bars around Frankfurt and now appearing on major festival stages and at renowned venues across Germany. She has opened for well-known artists, gained live experience both nationally and internationally, and has consistently captivated audiences with her authenticity and musical depth.

After graduating from the Rock Pop Jazz Academy of Central Hesse (RPJAM) and completing an intensive songwriting seminar with the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) in the U.S., she deepened her studio work. This led to the release of several singles, her debut album DESERT DIAMOND, and now STARSTRUCK.

DanaMaria has received multiple German Rock & Pop Awards in various country music categories, along with a special cultural grant awarded during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her music is regularly played on public radio stations (SWR, HR, WDR) and has been featured on TV shows such as Bühne frei! (HR). Her songs have also been used as soundtrack music in popular German daily soaps like Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten (GZSZ). 

Supported by Initiative Musik, DanaMaria is now entering the next phase of her career: with STARSTRUCK in tow, she’s setting her sights on new musical horizons.
